I wish Tim Gunn could be my personal servant. Or just professional friend. I adore him.

Autumn is here, thank the maker, my favorite season. New icon by prissytina which I found on a random lj search for halloween icons. it makes me feel happy.

In the vein of ruin, go take a stroll through http://community.livejournal.com/rural_ruin/.
Lovely lovely pix of ruined houses, factories, towns and barns. I adore it.

I think there's also one called urban_ruin as well.

Time for pumpking pie. And pumpkin cookies. And sweaters. Gosh I love the fall.

Gay Rights
"Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?" - Ernest Gaines

We would like to know who really believes in gay rights on LiveJournal. There is no bribe of a miracle or anything like that. If you truly believe in gay rights, then repost this and title the post as "Gay Rights". If you don't believe in gay rights, then just ignore this. Thanks.

ETA: I certainly don't think that if you don't post this you're anti gay. Nor do I think this is a plot to weed out the hippies. I think it's just a meme. The quote, however, is something I do agree with regardless of its starting point.

ETA2: God, check this out:
"Homosexuality, is regarded as shameful by barbarians and by those who live under despotic governments just as philosophy is regarded as shameful by them, because it is apparently not in the interest of such rulers to have great ideas engendered in their subjects, or powerful friendships or passionate love-all of which homosexuality is particularly apt to produce." - Plato

PLATO! This whole thing is so OLD. Thanks for Sanzorama for the quote.
