* THE INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Leave me a comment saying anything random--like your favorite kind of sandwich or something you remember from long ago or something you bet I didn't know. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. It will go on and on and on and that is what makes it a meme!
Here are my five questions.
1. What song instantly makes you happy?
Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson. I grew up with Red Headed Stranger, the whole album, cause my parents were very into Country Music. I have an instant happy childhood moment pretty much anytime I hear Willie, but that song particularly does me.
2. What do you like best to do on a rainy afternoon?
Read. Seriously. So cliche, I know. I'm a big fan of quiet and rest. I think rainy afternoons are sort of nature's way of telling us to slow down.
3. If you could step into the pages of one book and join its world, which book would you choose?
Long before I read Lord of the Rings, I read a trilogy by Patricia McKillip, The Riddle Master of Hed, which pretty much stole my soul and formed my ideas about fantasy and character. I re-read it yearly. For a long time I wanted to be Morgan. I still do on some levels, but around my tenth year reading, I became really fascinated by Redearle. What a fantastic character. Heir of Sea and Fire is a wonderful and very dark book. I'd love to live for a few years in that world.
4. Who is one actor everyone seems to love but you think is overrated?
Brad Pitt. Srsly. Dood, abs do not make you a good actor. I only really like him when Robert Redford directs him which, yeah, pretty much figures, doesn't it?
5. If you could have dinner with any person (alive or deceased, real or fictional), who would it be?
OMG. Can it be like, Table for Five? Can I pick my top five? Cause one, seriously? SO DIFFICULT.
You know what? Fuck it. I'd love to have dinner with
traveller. I just can't think of anyone I'd love to talk to more. I love interesting people, but I love people who can spin tales so complex and so lovely that it makes your heart die a little. And I'd love to know the person who can make me feel that way.
