Dark Emerald's over on Dreamwidth has just completed Book III of
Restraint
A beautifully realized, Regency era, gay romance very loosely using the J's as the main characters. This is fanfic that is not to be missed. The writing is pitch perfect for the time with so little out of place the I lost myself in the telling many times. The characters are drawn beautifully and the plot is paced just as any good Regency Novel should be, slowly and with great intent. I won't mention other pieces I found as well written, those inevitably end up causing wank. But I will say this is damned near the most perfect piece of RPS I've ever read.
Whether you follow RPS, the J's or are in some other part of fandom, I promise you, you won't be disappointed by Restraint.
Go now! And set aside a fair few hours as it's nearly as long as any good novel of the period. What a delight!
