Actually that's not true. The meme was created by a little foreign software company that makes and supports applications for Mac. After it got popular, for a short time it carried an ad for a vanity press.

Now it carries a link to Stephen King's ON WRITING at Amazon.

Doubtless it was written by King to get himself more exposure.
