Oct. 28th, 2006 06:28 pmI have a number of google alerts. Many you can probably guess at, that's right. Lotrips boys. And Alatriste. That sort of thing.
I get a number of alerts in any given hour or day. Lots of them. Google alerts are email notifications of a name, phrase or something when that word or name is published on the internet. Everything from movie reviews to gossip pieces and, until now, they've all come from news papers.
Imagine my surprise when I got a google alert for Eric Bana when his name was in a description for a story on Fellow_shippers.

That's right. Google alerts are now searching blogs. Livejournals as well.
So I guess now we'll see people pulling their blogs down because they don't want to come up on a google alert.
