Okay, seriously? I don't really care how long someone has to wait in line to vote. In fact, just the knowledge that standing in line is what we're now talking about makes my shriveled little democratic heart expand a few sizes. I remember a decade ago when apartheid was demolished in South Africa and there was something like 90% voter turn out and news photos of people standing in line for a whole day and I cheered for them and wished I could see that sort of passion here in America.

I realize there are probably reasons, good ones, why this has not been handled more efficiently.

But you know what? GO TEAM DEMOCRACY.

Vote. Vote on Monday if you have early voting in your precinct. Vote Tuesday the 4th if that's when you can do it. And no, despite what some voters are getting in the mail, EVERYONE VOTES ON TUESDAY.

I'm not ready to give in to joy yet.

But Tuesday night?

I may be incoherent.

I'm so excited! I can't wait! We're going to be making history and changing the course of our nations history!

I'm know I'm going to be up ALL night Tuesday!

*nod nod*
I have to work in a very diverse kitchen on Tuesday and I'm sure we'll be following the election results on the computer.
Also, I live in a very black neighborhood and when Obama wins? There. Will. Be. Celebrating. I just hope I can get home at some point Tuesday night.

It's going to be one of those situations where we're going to be telling our children where we were that night! :-)

Like you, I'm thrilled about the possibility of lines. It breaks my heart whenever I go to vote and there's no one there.

YES. Where are these lines and where can I go see them?

We don't have early voting here. So I'm getting up at 5am so I can be there half and hour before the polls open at 6am. When I was called yesterday by someone from the Oboma campaign to see if I needed a ride to the polls I pointed out that I'd be willing to crawl over broken glass on my hands and knees to have the opportunity to vote. *bg*

I am quite incoherent already. And yesterdays special Cheney endorsement made me laugh and laugh and laugh.

Oh my god, it was like watching the dead rise. Zombie!VP.
I'm so glad to see people vote. My heart grew two sizes yesterday. Time for some Who Feast!

I seriously felt sick from laughing so hard for so long yesterday when I heard the news.
