Thursday Thursday Thursday....

So, it's Thursday, as it is, once a week, and I've been thinking thinky thoughts. Unfortunately, I've also been rather happy lately and I've found that being happy makes me a little bit accident prone. See, I was never this accident prone before, when I was depressed. Maybe because I was spending all my time examining every move I made or something...anyway, back to the subject. I cooked for friends earlier in the week, drank wine, was VERY happy and burnt the shit our of my hand when I picked up the pan straight out of the oven. Now, you might say it's the wine. And I might agree, except I've cooked slightly tipsy before and never hurt myself. But I've never cooked when really honestly happy. So, yesterday, at work, I burnt the shit out of my finger on a 400 pan. I mean, how dumb is that? But I was totally in my flow and totally happy and making shit and things where GREAT. And then BAM! Smokin fingertips. And no wine. Go figure. So today, I slept in, made a nice breakfast, gone mostly vegetarian now so lots of healthy stuff and coffee and a tiny bit of chocolate chip cookie to take the edge off the coffee, as you do and then a really nice day at home followed by completing paperwork for the new place, *yes, I'm moving again, but this is a house, just like a grown up* did a little thrift store shopping, came home, made an awesome dinner of lettuce wraps with quacamole, seared Talapia, grilled onions, rice, refried beans and cheese and WHAM! Sliced the end of my thumb off. Dudes, seriously, I'm not sure I'll survive happiness with all of my limbs.

Ummmm...this is not of the good. Maybe you just need to worry a teeny bit about very minor things?

Yes. I'm beginning to see that I'm not very skilled at being happy. I think flow isn't something that just happens, I think it's a skill that I have to learn, just I learned to cook.
